Mechanical winch with direct drive drum, suitable for recovery the steel ropes of cable pulling winches and for direct laying of power cables with small dimensions. The rope of the winch can be introduced into the pipe with a piston provided of sealing rings by means of compressed air. At this stage the rope takes place freely from the drum and can be braked via a suitable
control lever. Upon the arrival the rope of the drum winch is connected with the rope winch and than recovered.
